As vote counting gathered momentum across four states and one Union Territory on Monday, dramatic trends began emerging through the afternoon.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has surged past the majority mark in West Bengal, delivering a major setback to Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress (TMC).

In Tamil Nadu, Thalapathy Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has crossed the 100-seat mark, marking a striking debut performance.

In Kerala, the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) is heading towards a landslide comeback. Meanwhile, the BJP-led NDA is on course for a dominant third consecutive term in Assam.

In Puducherry, the AINRC-led NDA is currently in the lead.

In Puducherry, CM N Rangasamy's AINRC-led NDA is once again headed for power in the union territory.
