CBSE Announces CTET 2026 Re-Exam Date For Cancelled Bihar Centres; Admit Cards Released

In a significant update for teaching aspirants, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the re-examination date for candidates affected by the cancellation of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 exam at two centers in Bihar.

The CTET test set for Feb. 7-8, 2026, was called off at two locations in Vaishali (Hajipur) due to what officials referred to as "inevitable situations." The re-exam will now be conducted on March 1, 2026, offering relief to candidates who were unable to appear.

The decision applies specifically to candidates allotted centers in Vaishali (Hajipur), Bihar. Re-examination applies to candidates of following centers:

  • 125016 - St. John's Academy, Basmati Nagar
  • 125014 - Lakshya International Academy

Following the cancellation, CBSE reviewed the matter and decided to conduct a re-examination exclusively for candidates assigned to these two aforementioned centres.

How to download the admit cards for revised examination

"All the candidates who were allotted the above centres are hereby informed to download the revised admit card from their application log-in through the CTET website, i.e. ctet.nic.in and appear in the examination accordingly."

Applicants are highly encouraged to frequently review the official CTET communication outlets for news about reporting schedules and exam guidelines.

Re-Examination dates

The re-examination for candidates impacted will take place on March 1, 2026. The updated timetable has been announced by the Director (CTET) under CBSE, which oversees the national-level qualification examination.

Authorities have specified that solely those candidates assigned to the previously mentioned locations must attend the re-evaluation.

No venue changes for affected students

The CBSE has explicitly stated that no additional chances will be provided to these candidates to take part in the 21st edition of CTET. Requests for altering the examination venue or schedule will not be considered under any circumstances. This establishes the re-examination on March 1 as the sole chance for the impacted candidates.
