Kedar Prasad Gupta of the Bharatiya Janata Party defeated Sunil Kumar Suman of the Rashtriya Janata Dal by 9,718 votes in the Kurhani constituency as the Bihar Assembly Election Results 2025 were announced on Friday.

Twenty candidates are contesting from the seat in Muzaffarpur district, out of which the main contestants are Kedar Prasad Gupta of the BJP, Sunil Kumar Suman of the RJD and Mohammad Ali Irfan of the Jan Suraaj Party. Vijayesh Kumar of the BSP is also among the candidates.
Elections to the 121 seats of the 243-member assembly were held on Nov. 6, while the remaining 122 constituencies went to polls on Nov. 11. A voter turnout of 66.91% was registered in the Bihar polls.
