Sonata Software Bags Multi-Million Dollar Deal In Australia
The deal covers migrating data from legacy systems, optimising warehousing and planning processes, and conducting pilot programs in various countries, Sonata Software said.

Sonata Software Ltd. on Wednesday announced that it has secured a multi-million dollar modernisation deal in Australia from a global leader providing access solutions.
The deal involves integrating and standardising the client’s Asia-Pacific business processes across 13 countries, the Bengaluru-headquarter company said in a media release.
However, Sonata Software did not disclose the client's name and the value of the deal.
“Our efforts will focus on automating end-to-end processes, harnessing Microsoft's comprehensive technology stack to improve scalability and facilitate adoption for the client,” said Anthony Lange, chief revenue officer at Sonata Software.
Under the agreement, the Indian IT consulting and software development services provider will modernise the international company’s finance and supply chain management, the release said.
The pact also covers migrating data from legacy systems, optimising warehousing and planning processes, and conducting pilot programs in Australia, New Zealand, and China.
“Through our digital transformation efforts, we will standardise and optimise their trading and manufacturing processes, integrate financial planning and monitoring, and simplify customisation and integration by leveraging industry best practices,” Lange added.
Sonata Software noted that it had secured the deal in the quarter ended June 30, 2024, and had first mentioned about it during its earnings call on July 31.
The company’s significant investments in Australia, over a course of three decades, has helped it take advantage of the country’s highly-skilled workforce, business-friendly environment, and supportive government policies.
As recently as October, Sonata Software had set up a Centre of Excellence in Australia to address the rising demand for generative artificial intelligence and data solutions.
On Wednesday, shares of Sonata Software jumped 4.74% to Rs 626.3 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Nifty 50 closed 0.33% higher at 24,274.9.
