Maruti Suzuki India has announced a recall of 26 units of its Super Carry light commercial vehicle due to a potential safety-related defect in the driver seat assembly.
According to the company's filing and disclosure, the vehicles affected were manufactured between Feb. 17 and Feb. 21. The recall has been initiated after a possible issue was identified in the front driver seat adjuster assembly components.
The defect is linked to the driver seat adjuster mechanism, which may not function as intended under certain conditions. The company has noted that the issue could potentially lead to unintended sliding of the driver's seat while the vehicle is in operation.
Maruti Suzuki has clarified that all affected components will be replaced free of cost. Vehicle owners of the impacted batch will be contacted directly by the company through its dealer network.
The automaker has also reiterated that the recall is a precautionary measure aimed at ensuring product safety and maintaining quality standards across its commercial vehicle range.

Maruti Suzuki cars are set to get costlier from June 2026 onwards triggered by high input costs and rising inflationary pressures, according to a regulatory filing by the company on Thursday.
The automaker has announced price hikes of up to Rs 30,000 across its four-wheeler portfolio on Thursday.
"You are kindly informed that in view of the sustained increase in input costs, the Company has decided to increase the prices of its models across its portfolio by up to Rs. 30,000/- with effect from June 2026," Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. stated in its filing.
The price increase comes amid elevated input costs and amplifying inflationary pressures. The company added that so far it had been trying to mitigate the cost impact "to the extent possible" through cost reduction measures, but will have to pass on a portion of the increased costs to the market "while continuing to ensure that the impact on customers is kept to the minimum extent possible.'
The exact quantum of change will vary from model to model, Maruti underlined.
