Hero MotoCorp, ITC, Bata India in Focus Today

Hero MotoCorp will report its numbers for the June quarter today. The company is likely to report 15 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) jump in its net profit to Rs 635 crore whereas its revenue is seen growing 15 per cent y-o-y to Rs 7,020 crore. Its ebitda margin is likely to come at 14.5 per cent against 14.4 per cent y-o-y. Power Grid Corporation of India reported lower than estimated numbers for the first quarter on Monday post-closing of markets. It reported a net profit of Rs 1,168 crore on sales of Rs 3,938 crore against estimates of Rs 1,211 crore net profits on sales of Rs 4,194 crore. Punj Lloyd reported lower than estimated numbers for the June quarter. The company reported Rs 364 crore losses against profit of Rs 4.9 crore year-on-year, whereas its revenue came in at Rs 1,100 crore against Rs 2,220 crore sales reported in the same period last fiscal. Prestige Estates Projects has opened a QIP (Qualified Institutional Placement) yesterday. The company is planning to raise $75-$100 million dollar through this QIP. Price band of the QIP is Rs 240-Rs 248. Bata India will report its earnings today. Its net profit for the first quarter is likely to grow 15 per cent y-o-y to Rs 71.3 crore whereas its revenue is seen growing 13 per cent y-o-y to Rs 644 crore. Its same store sales growth is likely to be around 9 per cent. Crompton Greaves is likely to report 8 per cent y-o-y growth in its consolidated net profit to Rs 65.5 crore, when it reports its numbers for the June quarter today. Its revenue is seen growing 11 per cent y-o-y to Rs 3,488 crore. Tata Steel has launched an innovative high-strength steel product for crash-protection on Monday. This will allow automotive manufacturers to make lighter components and create relatively complex shapes. ITC has increased prices of its cigarette brands Classic and Gold Flake Kings by up to Rs 10 per packet on Monday. HCL Technologies shares goes ex-dividend today. The company had announced a final dividend of Rs 12 per share. Kotak Mahindra Bank plans to raise Rs 300 crore through issue of infrastructure bonds.
