HDFC Bank informed its customers on Wednesday that it plans to carry out essential system maintenance on March 14, which will result in disruption to several online services. In a communication to customers, the private lender said maintenance work will be undertaken from 2:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. IST on March 14. During this four-hour period, several mobile app services will be unavailable.
The bank said account-related services, including deposits, NEFT, IMPS, RTGS and within-bank transfers, will not be accessible. Online payments and other account transactions will also be affected. UPI transactions using HDFC Bank handles, including those on third-party apps (such as GooglePay), will also be temporarily unavailable.
"UPI services will be unavailable during this time, including transactions made on third-party apps using HDFC Bank UPI handles (e.g. @okhdfcbank) During this time, you can continue to use PayZapp Wallet for payments & money transfer," it said.

HDFC Bank advised customers to plan their transactions accordingly to avoid inconvenience. The bank also highlighted that its PayZapp Wallet can still be used for payments and money transfers during the maintenance window.

- Other account-related transactions
What Is PayZapp Wallet?
HDFC Bank's PayZapp is a digital wallet and virtual card app. It lets users pay bills, send money, shop online and recharge easily. The wallet offers secure, one-click transactions without storing card details. This allows for convenient payments anytime, anywhere, for both online and offline services, according to the lender's website. It can be downloaded like a regular mobile application on Android and iOS app stores.

The bank stated that the maintenance is part of its ongoing efforts to improve the digital banking experience.
Following HDFC Bank's announcement, customers are advised to plan transactions in advance, as nearly all digital services will be unavailable during maintenance. For urgent or time-sensitive transactions, users should recharge their PayZapp Wallet in advance to avoid any inconvenience.
