Sustainability, Technology, Growth: Andhra Pradesh To Showcase Vision At World Economic Forum Davos

Andhra Pradesh is powering ahead with its dedication to sustainable growth, global collaboration, and technological advancement. Integrating speed with sustainability, and through the government’s clearly defined and predictable policy vision, the state has fostered industrial growth and fast-tracked the shift to a green economy.

In a bid to present its leadership in sustainability, technology, and growth and share its transformative vision with global leaders, policymakers, and investors, the Government of Andhra Pradesh is participating in the prestigious World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos, Switzerland.

Led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the Andhra Pradesh delegation will engage in high-level discussions and partnerships, reflecting its commitment to inclusive development, climate action, and fostering a robust global investment ecosystem. 

Highlights Of Andhra Pradesh’s Participation At WEF Davos 

The state will highlight its key goals, achievements, and recognitions at WEF 2025. These include:

Sustainability: The Andhra Pradesh Community Natural Farming programme promotes regenerative farming practices, ensuring livelihoods for over 6 million farmers while addressing climate challenges through sustainable agriculture. 

Renewable Energy Leadership: The state is becoming a green energy powerhouse with a goal of 72 GW of renewable energy development. It is a key participant in India’s shift to clean energy with its emphasis on solar, wind, and pumped storage projects.

Climate Action Recognition: The Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity, which Andhra Pradesh received for its climate initiatives, confirms its position as a leader in sustainability and climate resilience.

AI And Data Centre Hub: Andhra Pradesh is using AI and digital infrastructure to transform governance and spur innovation. Its advanced infrastructure, skilled workforce, and dependable power supply ensure that technology companies not only spring up but grow in the state. 

Industrial And Economic Growth: The Mulapeta Chemical and Petrochemical Region is a key industrial hub, offering world-class infrastructure and investment opportunities in petrochemicals, chemicals, and allied industries. 

The state will also participate in multiple round-tables. These include “AI for Good—Shaping a Smarter, Sustainable Tomorrow,” “Shaping the Future for Next-Gen AI: Innovation Hub, Data Factory, and AI,” “Building the next Petrochemical Hub,”  “The Next Wave—Pioneering the Blue Economy of Tomorrow,” and “Powering the Future with Green Hydrogen & Renewable Energy.” 

‘Svarna Andhra @ 2047’ 

Guiding Andhra Pradesh’s sustainable growth is its 2047 vision document, which encapsulates its goal of transforming the state into “Svarna Andhra @ 2047.” Andhra Pradesh is targeting a $2.4 trillion economy by adhering to 10 principles, including ensuring “zero poverty,” integrating “deep tech” into different facets of life, creating “global best logistics,” and educating farmers about “agri-tech.”

The state proudly boasts an investor-friendly ecosystem and speed of doing business. It is a leader in investor-centric governance, expedited clearances, and quick decision-making, which allows companies to launch and grow with efficiency rarely seen elsewhere.

To this end, it has developed 21 policy documents for sectors ranging from industry and IT to clean energy and food processing. These documents aim to help the government formulate its short- and medium-term goals and instil confidence in the private sector regarding their investments.

Andhra Pradesh: Where Technology Meets Sustainability

For years now, Andhra Pradesh has been draw for the technology sector. From partnering with tech giants like Google for creating a robust tech ecosystem to leveraging AI for delivering public services, it has embraced not only technology but also tech businesses.

The state’s IT- and data centres-focused policies have made it a home to data centres, AI technologies-driven businesses, and cloud infrastructure, smart governance, health tech, and ed-tech providers. It has also partnered with leading business groups to set up data centre and tech business parks in the state.

Along with technological innovation, the state has set its sights on sustainability. A model for inclusive and sustainable development, Andhra Pradesh is committed to contributing to India’s net zero targets and global climate action goals.

By fast-tracking clean energy projects, climate-smart programmes, and technology-driven innovations, the government is encouraging renewable energy developers and technology providers, green hydrogen and storage solution companies, and businesses investing in net zero and decarbonisation efforts. 

Even as the world moves towards a sustainability, innovation and resilience at WEF 2025, Andhra Pradesh is at the centre of it, as a destination where green growth meets technological innovation.
