Miss World 2025: Opening Ceremony To Grand Finale, Check Full Schedule Of Beauty Pageant

Hyderabad is preparing to host the 72nd Miss World pageant, which will kick off on May 7 and conclude with a grand finale on May 31. In addition to the competition, contestants will explore Telangana’s cultural and historical heritage through a series of curated tours showcasing the region’s history and landmarks.

Contestants from across the globe have started arriving in Hyderabad. Among those already in the city are Miss Canada Emma Morrison, Brazil's Jessica Pedroso, South Africa's Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg and Miss Portugal Maria Amelia Antonio. Miss Ghana Jutta Ama Pokuhaa Addo and Miss Namibia Selma Carlicia Kamany had also reached the city on May 6.

Miss World Chairperson Julia Morley and event organiser Jonathan Marksha touched down in Hyderabad on May 5, as reported by News Meter. Participants from 116 countries are being greeted with a traditional welcome upon their arrival in the city.

The official inauguration of Miss World 2025 will take place at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, featuring performances that celebrate Telangana’s folk and tribal dance traditions.

Contestants will experience a cultural retreat with a visit to Buddhavanam, a Buddhist-themed park at Nagarjunasagar. The site showcases stupas, intricate sculptures and exhibits offering insight into Buddhist heritage.

A guided heritage walk will allow contestants to explore the historic landmarks of Old Hyderabad, including the iconic Charminar and the bustling Laad Bazaar, well-known for its traditional bangles.

The itinerary includes a visit to Pochampally in the Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district, internationally recognised by the UN World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) for its handloom heritage. Contestants will see the famed Ikat weaving process first-hand.

The Miss World Sports Finale will be staged at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, where contestants will compete in various sporting challenges.

Fast-track selections for regional titles under the Miss World banner will be held at T-Hub, India’s largest start-up incubator, setting the stage for continental honours.

Participants will engage in an interactive arts and crafts workshop at Shilparamam, a crafts village known for traditional Telangana art forms such as Cheriyal painting and silver filigree work.

The contestants will also soak in the energy of an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal, according to a report by Deccan Herald.

The Miss World Talent Finale will take place at Shilpakala Vedika, offering contestants a platform to showcase their artistic and performance talents.

The event will conclude with a grand finale at the Hitex Exhibition Center. Reigning Miss World Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic will crown her successor.
