The rumour mills have been working at full speed regarding a possible GTA 6 launch date delay. And with GTA 6 release date rumors accelerating, Take-Two Interactive has stepped in. Rockstar has been keeping things as secretive as ever, and eager fans were left waiting for any updates. They mostly relied on speculation. However, things may become clearer about the key GTA 6 launch date as recently announced by the company.

What’s fuelling most of the speculation around the GTA 6 release date is the lack of updates. Notably, the GTA 6 Trailer 2 launch date has not been revealed yet. Since this crucial detail is missing, all kinds of rumours have taken over fan discussions. The first GTA 6 trailer was released back in 2023, and given the game’s immense popularity, it broke YouTube records after its release. The huge anticipation building around that can just be imagined!

However, a day old announcement from Rockstar is giving fans hope. As a publicly listed company, Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar, had scheduled its third-quarter earnings conference call for Feb. 6.

During its results call, Take-Two Interactive stated that Grand Theft Auto 6 is sticking to its Fall 2025 launch date. The parent company of Rockstar said there would be no delays and the game would arrive later this year as scheduled.

“This calendar year is shaping up to be one of the strongest ever for Take-Two, as Sid Meier's Civilization VII launched in Early Access today, with the official launch on Feb. 11th, and we also plan to release Mafia: The Old Country in the Summer, Grand Theft Auto VI in the Fall, and Borderlands 4 before year-end,” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said in his remarks.

Fans have been waiting for over a decade for GTA 6, following the massive success of GTA 5, which remains one of the most popular games in the world.

Before GTA 6 launches this year, Rockstar is also anticipated to release a second trailer, which may contain more details about the game.
