Amid the ongoing race, between all the top smartphone makers, to master context-aware artificial intelligence, the Mountain View, California-based tech major is likely to launch the Google Pixel 10 series, expected in Aug., 2025, with a new contextual AI assistant, Pixel Sense. Reports suggest that Pixel Sense could be the new name for 'Pixie' - the AI assistant that was anticipated to launch with the Pixel 9 series. However, that didn’t happen.

Reports suggested that Google Pixel Sense will use on-device processing to provide more relevant information to the users. The technology will be integrated with other Google applications for a seamless experience.

Google 10 series will also feature a new Tensor G5 chip, produced by TSMC, Gadgets 360 reported on Mar. 4.

What To Expect From Google Pixel 10 Contextual AI Assistant

According to a report by Android Authority, the virtual assistant Pixel Sense will offer a more personalised experience to the users by using information from other Google apps on the Pixel smartphone. It remains unclear whether the Pixel Sense feature will be exclusive to the Google Pixel 10 series.

The new technology will use applications such as Google Maps, Google Docs, Google Keep, Google Messages, YouTube and YouTube Music, Google Calendar, Chrome, Files, Gmail, Google Photos, Google Wallet and Phone Recorder. The assistant may use another unknown app called Aurelius.

Based on the current information, it appears that the new contextual assistant won’t work with any third-party apps. The tool will have the scope to use files (and any related metadata) on a user's Pixel 10 handset, including screenshots, images and text. This will allow it to make more contextual suggestions for places, products and names.

From a security and privacy lens, it is anticipated that Pixel Sense will operate entirely on-device. It is also said that Pixel Sense will learn from a user's evolving interests. This means that it could perform certain actions, likely automating tasks or routines more efficiently. However, details on the specific types of tasks it will support remain unclear.
