United Breweries Ltd. reported positive year-over-year growth in profit in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024-25, even as it missed projections.
Standalone net profit of the Kingfisher beer-maker saw a healthy rise of 20.5%, reaching Rs 97.4 crore compared to Rs 80.8 crore in the year-ago period, according to a stock exchange filing on Wednesday. The increase was below the projection of Rs 111 crore, according to analysts' consensus estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
For the whole year, the bottom bottomline rose nearly 8% to Rs 441 crore.
Revenue during the quarter under review increased by 9% to Rs 2,321.3 crore, in line with estimates.
Operational performance improved, which led to an expansion in margin.

UBL Dividend
The UBL board recommended a dividend of Rs 10 per equity share for the financial year ending March 2025, subject to shareholders' approval at the ensuing Annual General Meeting to be held on Aug. 7. The payout aggregates to Rs 264 crore.
Accordingly, the dividend will be paid on or before Sept. 4, 2025. The record date will be issued later.
Shares of United Breweries closed 2.1% higher at Rs 2,184.45 on the BSE, ahead of the results, compared to a 0.13% gain in the benchmark Sensex. The stock has risen 9% in the last 12 months and by 5% so far this year.
Of the 19 analysts tracking the company, eight each have a 'buy' and a 'sell' rating on the stock, and three suggest a 'hold', shows Bloomberg data. The average 12-month price target implies a downside potential of 6%.
