Polycab India Q3 Results: Profit, Revenue Rise; Share Price Dips

Polycab India Ltd. posted a rise in its profit and revenue in the third quarter of fiscal 2025. However, the company’s stock price dipped over 8%.

For the quarter ending December 2024, Polycab India’s net profit grew by 10.9% year-on-year, reaching Rs 458 crore, compared to Rs 413 crore in the same period last year. Revenue surged 20.4% YoY, touching Rs 5,226 crore, up from Rs 4,340 crore a year ago.

The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation also saw some improvement, increasing 26.6% to Rs 720 crore from Rs 569 crore in Q3 FY24. The Ebitda margin stood at 13.8%, compared to 13.1% in the previous year.

Polycab India is an Indian electrical equipment company headquartered in Mumbai. It designs, manufactures, and sells a wide range of electrical products, including wires and cables, electric fans, LED lighting, switches and switchgear, solar solutions, and conduits and accessories. Additionally, the company is involved in the engineering, procurement, and construction sector.

Polycab India Share Price

The scrip fell as much as 8.81% to Rs 5,982 apiece. It pared losses to trade 7.71% lower at Rs 6,053.90 apiece, as of 1:43 p.m. This compares to a 0.14% decline in the NSE Nifty 50.

It has risen 45.18% in the last 12 months. Total traded volume so far in the day stood at 3.48 times its 30-day average. The relative strength index was at 32.

Out of 32 analysts tracking the company, 21 maintain a 'buy' rating, seven recommend a 'hold' and four suggest 'sell', according to Bloomberg data. The average 12-month analysts' consensus price target implies an upside of 27.8%.
