Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reaffirmed his government's commitment to establishing a film city in Mysuru on Sunday.
"Our government has allocated 100 acres of land in Mysuru for the film city. We will develop it through a public-private partnership," stated Siddharamaiah, addressing reporters after inaugurating the new building of the Kannada Film Producers' Association.
The Chief Minister emphasised that creating a film city for the Kannada film industry was a long-held dream of the late Kannada matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar.
"We are dedicated to making this dream a reality," he asserted.
Siddaramaiah criticised the previous BJP administration, accusing it of neglecting the film city's development.
In addition to the film city, Siddaramaiah addressed the need for a Kannada OTT platform. "We will review the situation and take necessary actions to establish an OTT platform for the Kannada film industry," he assured the film producers.
