The voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly concluded on Wednesday, with most exit poll surveys predicting a landslide victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), on the other hand, is eyeing a third consecutive full-term. The Indian National Congress (INC), which has drawn a blank in the last two elections, is hoping for a better performance this time.
While the BJP kept its focus on the corruption allegations against AAP, the ruling party opted for a door-to-door campaign, something that worked well for it in 2015 and 2020. About 699 candidates across 70 constituencies were in the fray for the February 5 elections.
Delhi recorded 60.10% voter turnout in the assembly polls on Wednesday. The turnout almost touched what it was in the 2020 assembly polls (62.59%) when the Arvind Kejriwal-led party won 62 seat of the 70 seats, while the BJP got eight and the Congress zero.

Delhi Elections 2025: Exit Polls Prediction
Exit polls are usually conducted immediately after the voting concludes to predict the outcome of the elections before the results are declared.
At least seven exit poll surveys -- DV Research, Chanakya Strategies, JVC, Poll Diary, P-Marq, People's Insight, and People's Pulse -- have predicted a victory for the BJP, giving it somewhere between 35 to 60 seats. Aam Aadmi Party is expected to get between 30 and 37 seats, according to these surveys. While the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP is contesting in all seats, the BJP is contesting in 68 constituencies.
The AAP has strongly rejected exit poll results, with party leader Sushil Gupta claiming that the surveys were incorrect. "Arvind Kejriwal has worked for the people of Delhi. We will see the results in favour of the Aam Aadmi Party, and we will form the government," he told ANI.
