HDFC Bank To Stop SMS Alerts For UPI Payments Up To Rs 100

Customers will continue to receive email alerts for all UPI transactions.

HDFC Bank Ltd. will stop sending SMS alerts to its customers for Unified Payments Interface transactions up to Rs 100 from June 25.

The bank will only send SMS alerts for spending above Rs 100 and while receiving over Rs 500 per transaction, according to the bank's communication to customers via email that has been seen by NDTV Profit.

Customers will continue to receive email alerts for all UPI transactions, the bank said.

HDFC Bank saw its net profit rise 0.84% sequentially on lower core income growth and higher provisions. Net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 16,512 crore.
