Mumbai Allows Civic Officials To Take Over Private Hospitals To Fight Covid-19

Maharashtra, as of last count, had 15,525 coronavirus cases, with Mumbai accounting for two-thirds of the infections.

Mumbai, the city with the highest number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in India, has given administrative heads of civic wards the power to take over private hospitals and nursing homes to fight the pandemic.
