Coronavirus Update: All You Need To Know About The Mumbai Shutdown

Maharashtra has ordered a partial shutdown in Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur, in the wake of the spreading coronavirus.

With the number of people contracting the novel coronavirus rising steadily in Maharashtra, the Uddhav Thackeray-led state government has ordered a partial shutdown in Mumbai, Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Nagpur.

The coronavirus outbreak has so far infected 223 people in India and claimed four lives, even as the global death toll mounted the 10,000 mark. Twenty-three people have been cured or discharged in the country and more than 6,700 people are being monitored, Joint Health Secretary Lav Agarwal said on Friday.
