IndiGo launches 8 new flights connecting Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, others

No-frill airline IndiGo on Saturday launched eight new flights, mostly to increase frequencies to connect major cities like Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Lucknow and Srinagar.

Effective from Saturday, IndiGo started operations of new daily non-stop flights between Delhi and Dibrugarh and return via Guwahati and Kolkata.

The airline would also connect Lucknow with Srinagar via Delhi, it said in a statement.

IndiGo also announced a third non-stop flight from Delhi to Bhubaneshwar and Guwahati, fifth non-stop flight from Delhi to Lucknow and Srinagar and sixth non-stop flight between Delhi and Hyderabad.

"We are committed to providing maximum connectivity on our network...and are confident that these additional flights will prove immensely convenient for our passengers," IndiGo president and executive director Aditya Ghosh said.

He said Dibrugarh would become an important part of the airline's destination network.

With a fleet of 77 Airbus A-320s, IndiGo would now on operate 485 daily flights connecting 36 destinations.
