Ford expects compact car sales in India to grow from about 1 million units last year to roughly 2 million units in 2018. The company says with Figo Concept, Ford planned to offer a compact sedan without compromising on premium design or features.

The Figo Concept showcases Ford's new design DNA with the front trapezoidal grille, new aerodynamic body, blacked out headlamps and spacious interiors. The dashboard also gets an innovative device dock to store, mount and charge devices such as mobile phones, MP3 players and navigation systems and seamlessly integrates into the in-car entertainment system.

A hatchback version of the Figo Concept will replace the current Figo. Both cars - the Concept and its hatchback avatar - are expected to arrive in 2015.
