These new announcements from BSNL, which reported a gross subscriber addition of over 4 million in March 2018, comes amid stiff competition in the telecom sector. From new recharge packs to additional benefits for subscribers, BSNL is adapting its portfolio to keep up with continuously intensifying competition in the market due to aggressive pricing of mobile data led by Reliance Jio, say analysts. In a press release earlier this month, BSNL reported addition of 1.2 million subscribers through MNP or Mobile Number Portability in last month.
BSNL was able to overcome all the challenges faced by telecom industry through its highly attractive schemes, plans, offers, value added service offerings and with network improvement, to add new connections and increased subscriber addition through MNP, RK Mittal, Director (CM) BSNL Board, had said in a statement.
