The week starting May 19 will buzz with a flurry of domestic and international developments. The spotlight will be on the key macro, trade and industrial data coming in from Asia that will provide markets a glimpse of the disruption that Trump's tariffs have caused.
As the fourth quarter earnings announcements continue for the week, as companies across various sectors are scheduled to announce their performance for the quarter.

Markets This Week
The benchmark equity indices closed lower on Friday after rallying for two consecutive sessions. The NSE Nifty 50 closed 42.30 points or 0.17% lower at 25,019.8 and the BSE Sensex ended 200.15 points 0.24% lower at 82,330.59.
During the day, the Nifty fell 0.44% to 24,953.05, while the Sensex declined 0.47% to trade at 82,146.95. In terms of weekly performance, the Nifty gained 4.21% and the Sensex advanced 3.62%.
The week started with a positive note for the market as India and Pakistan called for ceasefire following four days of cross border tension. Progression in tariff talks between US and China also contributed to what was Sensex and Nifty's highest jump since 2021.
Domestic Cues: Q4 Earnings Season Continues
The fourth quarter earnings season is set to continue till the end of this month as big names announce their quarter and year end earnings.
Hindalco Industries Ltd., NHPC Ltd., United Spirits Ltd., Mankind Pharma Ltd., ONGC, RVNL, Grasim Industries Ltd., ITC Ltd., DLF Ltd., JSW Steel Ltd., along with Ashok Leyland Ltd. are some of the notable companies scheduled to announce their Q4 results.
Dividends and guidance will also be closely monitored.
In terms of macro data, S&P Global is set to release manufacturing and services PMI data on Thursday.
On the national front, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will be in Washington to discuss a bilateral trade deal with the US.
As per reports, the government is set to send political delegations to foreign countries to expose Pakistan's terror activities and brief India's effective response.
Global Cues
On the global front, key economic data is expected from the United States, United Kingdom, the Euro zone, China and Japan.
On Monday, key inflationary data is set to be released. While data around the retail inflation in the UK is expected on May 21.
On Thursday, the Euro Zone is also set to announce the manufacturing and services PMI. While the US Manufacturing PMI data is also expected on Thursday.
Given the recent development around US President Donald Trump's tariffs, the focus will be on fresh data coming in from Asian countries. This is due to the fact that Japanese trade data and Chinese industrial activity will display the impact of tariffs on trade and industrial activity.
On Monday, China industrial production data is expected. Retail sales data from China is also expected on the same date.
On Tuesday, Japan Trade data is set to be released while the Japan's Consumer Price Index is also expected on the same day.
Corporate Actions
Players like Sula Vineyards, LTIMindtree, Havells India, GM Breweries and Odyssey Technologies are set to pay out their final dividend this week.
While names like Page Industries and Ashok Leyland are set to pay out an interim dividend for the week.
Emami will pay out a special dividend and Colab Platforms are announcing a stock split.

Primary Market Action
In the mainboard, there are two IPOs that are set to open. Aiming to raise about Rs 2,150 crore, Belrise Industries IPO is set to open on May 21. The tentative listing of the IPO is May 28, according to Chittorgarh.
Also opening this week is Borana Weavers, aiming to raise over Rs 140 crore. The offer is set to open on May 20 and the issue price for this IPO is set at Rs 205 to Rs 216.
Opening in the SME front, there is a line up of three IPOs this week. Victory Electric Vehicles, Dar Credit and Capital along with Unified Data Tech are set to open this week.
