Amid speculations over Benjamin Netanyahu's coffee video, Israel's ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, has said that his country's Prime Minister is alive.
"Prime Minister Netanyahu is alive. I saw him personally when I was in Israel more than once," Azar said in Delhi.
He further added, "This video at the cafe is not AI-fabricated. There is a lot of disinformation."
The envoy stated that there was a lot of disinformation going on amid the war, “given the fact that Iranians and people complicit with them are trying to cover their weakness.”
Social media has been abuzz with rumours of Benjamin Netanyahu's killing in an Iranian strike. His absence from the public scene over the last more than two days has been adding fuel to the rumours.

On Sunday, his Twitter account shared a video of Netanyahu drinking coffee, inside a cafe, while he mocked the ‘news' of his killing. He is being asked about the news of his killing, and he mockingly remarks, “I am dying for coffee.”
“You want to count the number of fingers?” he asked, raising his hands one after the other, in a dig at his earlier video being called an AI-generated one, with some netizens pointing out he had six fingers in one of his hands.
The , meant to be an end to rumours and speculations, has added even more fire to the rumours. People online are alleging that this new video was an AI-generated deepfake as well.
Several theories, from the coffee not spilling to the pocket of Netanyahu's jacket moving in a certain way, have been put forth by people online.
What has added some credibility to the speculation of this video being a fake is the fact that X's AI chatbot, Grok, has labelled it ‘AI-generated' content.
Meanwhile, the Israeli PM;s office has also dismissed rumours, calling them fake. “These are fake news, the Prime Minister is fine,” his office was quoted by Anadolou news agency as saying.
Also, the Jerusalem cafe named ‘The Sataf', where the video of Netanyahu getting a coffee was shot, has posted pictures on Instagram, showing Netanyahu enjoying his coffee.
“We are happy to host the PM and his office in Sataf today,” the Sataf posted.
