Israel launched attacks on southern Lebanon on Saturday, just hours after the United States announced a 45-day extension to the April ceasefire agreement.
The attack came as a sharp escalation that has deepened fears over the fragility of any truce between Israel and Hezbollah, Al Jazeera reported.
According to the report, at least 11 people were killed in Israeli attacks on Friday, even as diplomatic efforts to stabilise the situation were ostensibly underway.
On Saturday, Israel issued new forced displacement orders for nine towns and villages in southern Lebanon, further compounding the humanitarian crisis gripping the region, said the report.
The displacement orders, as cited by Al Jazeera, have described Hezbollah's violations of the ceasefire as justification for renewed military action.
Residents were ordered to immediately evacuate their homes and move at least 1,000 metres away toward open land. The notice warned that anyone remaining near Hezbollah elements or infrastructure would be putting their lives at risk, the report further said.

The towns named in the displacement orders, as quoted by Al Jazeera, include Qaaqaiyat al-Jisr, Kountriyeh al-Sayyad, Ghassaniyeh, Taffahta, Arzai (Sidon), Babliyeh, Ansar (Nabatieh), and Bisariyeh — a broad swathe of communities across southern Lebanon that have already borne the brunt of months of cross-border hostilities.
The timing of the Israeli strikes has drawn international attention and criticism. The US-brokered ceasefire, which had been in place since April, was meant to provide a window for diplomatic engagement and civilian relief.
The announcement of its 45-day extension had raised cautious hopes, making Israel's near-simultaneous military action all the more striking.
The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, which intensified significantly alongside the war in Gaza, has displaced hundreds of thousands of Lebanese civilians and caused widespread destruction across southern Lebanon.
