Old posts and comments by late American conservative activist Charlie Kirk have resurfaced online amid the escalating conflict involving USA, Israel and Iran, triggering debate across social media platforms. Kirk, a prominent right-wing political figure and co-founder of the conservative youth organisation Turning Point USA, was assassinated on Sept. 10, 2025, while speaking at an outdoor campus debate at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

He was 31. Following the recent escalation in the Middle East, several users on X have circulated Kirk's earlier remarks warning against a potential war with Iran.

Another user, Skint Eastwood, posted: “Charlie warned us about Iran more than once and they clearly didn't like what he was saying.”

A user named The Artist Know wrote: “Megyn, this is why they killed him, I know you can see it. The motive, means, and opportunity. The Epstein administration and Israel killed Charlie so they could have this war without fighting Charlie. Ask yourself how this would go if Charlie was still here. We all know.”

Conservative commentator Candace Owens also wrote on X: “Charlie Kirk was the first casualty of the War in Iran. Never forget what they did to him.”

There is currently no evidence linking Kirk's assassination to the ongoing conflict. However, his past statements about Iran have gained renewed attention online.

Kirk's Earlier Warning About Iran War

In April 2025, Kirk posted on his official X account warning against a possible US military conflict with Iran.

“It's going unnoticed because so much other news is happening, but the war drums are beating again in D.C. The warmongers worry this is their last chance to get the white whale they've been chasing for thirty years, an all-out regime change war against Iran.”

Kirk argued that another Middle East conflict would be a major strategic mistake for the United States.

“A new Middle East war would be a catastrophic mistake. Our military stockpiles are depleted from three years of backing Ukraine. Our effort to reshore manufacturing has only just begun and will take years to bear fruit.”

He also warned that a conflict with Iran could be far more complicated than previous wars in the region.

“War would worsen our already immense deficit and national debt. Iran is larger than Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan combined. A war would not be easy and could easily become a calamity.”

A Prominent MAGA Figure

Kirk was widely seen as one of the most influential young figures in the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement and was a close political ally of US President Donald Trump.

In the same post, Kirk had credited Trump's first presidency for avoiding deeper military entanglements in the Middle East.

“Thanks to President Trump's restraint during his first term, America has a golden opportunity to pull away from Middle East quagmires for good. We shouldn't throw that opportunity away so that some D.C. has-beens can feel tough by sending young Americans to die yet again.”

As tensions in the region continue to rise, Kirk's past comments are being widely circulated online, adding another layer of political debate to the unfolding conflict.
