Tecno's latest budget 5G phone will be up for grabs from tomorrow. The Tecno Spark 50S 5G, which made its India debut on Friday, goes on sale on October 20, the company confirmed in a offical post on X. According to Tecno, buyers will be able to pick it up from retail stores near them, while launch reports have also named Amazon as a place to buy it.
The Spark 50S 5G is Tecno's second Spark 50 model in India, following the Spark 50 5G.
Price and Colours
Two memory options are on offer. The 6GB RAM version with 128GB of storage is priced at Rs 19,999, and stepping up to 8GB of RAM with the same storage takes the price to Rs 22,999. The phone comes in two finishes, Burgundy Red and Breeze Blue.

Display and Performance
Up front is a 6.78-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution (720 x 1,600 pixels) that refreshes at up to 120Hz. Powering the handset is MediaTek's Dimensity 6400, a 6nm octa-core chip that tops out at 2.5GHz. It is a dual-SIM phone and runs Android 16 out of the box.
Built to Last
Toughness is one of the phone's main talking points. It has been certified to MIL-STD-810H, a US military standard used to test how well devices hold up, and Tecno claims it can withstand falls from as high as 1.5 metres. The phone is also rated IP64 against dust and splashes, with the company saying it can stay in 20cm of water for five minutes.
Battery and Cameras
Keeping it running is a 6,500mAh battery that can be topped up at 45W. The rear camera setup is simple, with a lone 50MP sensor and an LED flash, and an 8MP camera on the front handles selfies and video calls.

Other Features
Tecno's X post also highlights a couple of software features. The company claims its UPS 3.0 feature can make UPI payments up to twice as fast, subject to terms and conditions, and the phone offers what Tecno calls All-Scenario AI Noise Cancellation.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS, along with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone measures 168 x 79 x 8mm and tips the scales at roughly 210 grams.
With its large battery, rugged build and 120Hz screen, the Spark 50S 5G will compete with other phones in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment when sales open tomorrow.
