Samsung is expected to expand its Galaxy M series lineup with a new model, the Samsung Galaxy M47. The device has reportedly appeared on the company's internal software testing servers, hinting that the device is currently in the testing phase. The handset was earlier spotted on the IMEI database, which initially hinted at its existence. After this sighting, the upcoming smartphone is expected to be gearing up for launch in the coming months.
According to a report by SammyGuru, the Galaxy M47 has been listed on internal servers in India and Nepal with the model number SM-M476B. Such sightings typically suggest that the company is preparing to introduce a new device in its M4x series. The smartphone is expected to debut in the second half of the year with 5G connectivity.
What to expect from Samsung Galaxy M47
The report further suggests that the handset may feature a Super AMOLED display, marking a shift from LCD panels used in some previous models in the series. If true, this upgrade could significantly enhance the viewing experience, especially for video streaming and daily usage.
In addition to that, the device is likely to pack a higher-capacity battery compared to its predecessor. While exact specifications are not yet available, Samsung's continues its focus on long battery life in its M series lineup.
The Galaxy M47 is likely to succeed the Galaxy M44 in Samsung's lineup. With the inclusion of a Super AMOLED panel, the company may aim to enhance display quality in the mid-range segment. This could improve viewing experience, especially for video streaming and everyday usage.
