Anthropic is rolling out specialised AI agents aimed at banks and financial institutions, marking an effort to expand among corporate clients as it prepares for a potential stock market debut this year.
The Claude creator has rolled out a new set of AI agents that can create pitch decks, analyse financial statements and escalate matters for compliance oversight. The 10 tools are tailored for sectors, including banking, insurance, asset management and fintech.
“New for financial services: ready-to-run Claude agent templates for building pitches, conducting valuation reviews, closing the books at month-end, and more. Install them as plugins in Cowork and Claude Code, or use our cookbooks to run them in production as Managed Agents,” Claude posted on X.

The tools are being released as plug-ins for Claude Cowork and Claude Code, alongside ready-made templates for Claude Managed Agents, allowing teams to apply AI to financial workflows in a matter of days.
At the same time, Claude is being integrated with Microsoft 365, working across Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word, with Microsoft Outlook to follow. The add-ins enable information to carry over automatically between applications, removing the need to restate context.
The company outlined a roster of new agents spanning research, client coverage, finance and operations:
Research And Client Coverage
Pitch builder compiles target lists, conducts comparable analysis and drafts pitchbooks for client engagements;
Meeting preparer pulls together briefing materials on clients and counterparties ahead of discussions;
Earnings reviewer analyses transcripts and filings, updates financial models and highlights material shifts;
Model builder develops and maintains financial models using filings, data streams and analyst inputs;
Market researcher monitors sector and issuer activity, distils insights from news, filings and broker reports, and flags risks for review.
Finance And Operations
Valuation reviewer assesses valuations against comparables, methodologies and internal standards;
General ledger reconciler balances ledger accounts and performs NAV calculations against official records;
Month-end closer executes closing checklists, prepares journal entries and generates closing reports;
Statement auditor examines financial statements for accuracy, completeness and audit readiness;
KYC screener compiles entity documentation, reviews source materials and escalates cases for compliance scrutiny.
The templates are structured as reference blueprints, bringing together three key components: embedded expertise for specific tasks, secure data access via connectors, and subagents, supporting Claude models used for specialised activities like comparables analysis or checks on methodology. Organisations can customise them to fit internal modelling standards, risk policies and workflows.
