Satwik-Chirag Enter Thailand Open Final Again — A Look At Their Record In Major Finals

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty battled their way into the men's doubles final of the Thailand Open Super 500 after defeating Malaysia's Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin in a thrilling semifinal on Saturday.

The Indian duo, champions in 2019 and 2024, edged past the world No. 9 pair 19-21, 22-20, 21-16 in an intense 82-minute contest to reach their first final of the season.

After losing a closely fought opening game, Satwik and Chirag showed great composure in the second, saving pressure moments before clinching it 22-20. They then dominated the decider with aggressive smashes and solid defence to seal victory.

Chirag said the pair regained confidence after winning bronze at the Thomas Cup and expressed hope of lifting the title.

The Indians will now face Indonesia's Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin in the final.
