During the run-chase, India lost their in-form duo of Abhishek Sharma (0) and Suryakumar Yadav (8) cheaply. Even though Rinku Singh played a decent knock of 39, the hosts found themselves struggling at 5 down for 82. Later on, Shivam Dube waged a lone battle for his side with a counterattacking innings of 65. His efforts went in vain as India ultimately got bundled out for only 165 in 18.4 overs. Mitchell Santner led his troops from the front, taking 3 for 26.
