Good Morning!
Gift Nifty Check
The Indian equity benchmark indices- Sensex and Nifty 50- are expected to open lower on Monday, following mixed global market cues, as elevated crude oil prices weigh on sentiment.
The trends on Gift Nifty also signal a negative start for the Indian benchmark indices, Nifty 50 and Sensex, today. The Gift Nifty was trading around 22,681 level, a discount of nearly 62 points from the Nifty futures' previous close.
Asian Markets Check
Asian markets traded lower on Thursday, tracking declines in US equity futures as mixed earnings from major technology companies raised questions about the sustainability of the recent rally in artificial intelligence stocks. Commodity Check
Crude oil prices extended their rally for another session on Thursday and surged 1.3% to $110.25 per barrel, after a drone attack on a Saudi Field near Aramco fanned supply fears. The attack on Shaybah field killed two people, although operations were not impacted.
West Texas Intermediate traded 1.13% higher at $98.22 per barrel.
