In her tribute, Kiara described how he embraced her as family from the very beginning. She spoke about his steady wisdom, constant warmth and the effortless kindness that defined him. “Your love for your family was at the center of everything you did. You showed up—every single time. You listened with intention. You remembered the little things,” she wrote. Concluding her note, the actress shared that his stories, laughter and gentle heart would remain with her forever, adding that he would be “forever loved and forever remembered.”
Actor Sidharth Malhotra also shared an emotional post mourning the loss of his father. Remembering him as a man of rare honesty and integrity, Sidharth credited his father's discipline and unwavering values for shaping the person he is today. “Papa, your integrity is my inheritance. Your strength guides me every day. I am who I am because of you,” he wrote.
Sunil Malhotra, a former Merchant Navy captain, had reportedly been battling prolonged illness. Despite suffering a stroke that left him wheelchair-bound, he remained resilient and dignified throughout his health struggles. According to reports, he passed away peacefully in his sleep.
Upon receiving the news, Sidharth and Kiara immediately travelled to Delhi to be with their family. The last rites were performed in the presence of close relatives and loved ones, as the family requested privacy during this difficult time.
