Sunny Deol's Border 2 has completed its overseas theatrical run with a total of Rs 57.25 crore gross, making it the actor's second-highest-grossing film in international markets after Gadar 2 with a gross collection of Rs 65.1 crore. While the sequel did not recreate the historic overseas wave of Gadar 2, it delivered a steady performance, especially for a large-scale war drama — a genre that traditionally depends more on domestic footfall.

The film, released on January 23, performed best in North America, where the United States and Canada together contributed nearly Rs 32 crore. Australia emerged as the second strongest territory with over Rs 11 crore, while the rest of the revenue came from other key overseas circuits with a strong Indian diaspora. Trade experts consider these numbers a solid result, underlining the continued interest in patriotic spectacles beyond India.

The film had a thunderous start at the box office. It collected a massive Rs 224.25 crore in its opening week, driven by strong weekend numbers that peaked at Rs 54.5 crore on Day 3. The momentum continued in the second week with Rs 70.15 crore, followed by Rs 23.35 crore in Week 3 and Rs 6.6 crore in Week 4. In the fifth week, daily collections dropped below the Rs 1-crore mark, which is a natural trend for a film in its final phase. Despite the slowdown, it still managed small weekend jumps, showing that audience interest remained intact for a long time.

A powerful opening week, strong nostalgia for the original Border, and consistent word of mouth helped the film sustain its run for over a month — a notable achievement in today's fast-changing box office environment.
