Actor Nick Pasqual, known for a brief appearance in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother, has been found guilty of attempted murder nearly two years after the violent stabbing of his former girlfriend, Hollywood makeup artist Allie Shehorn.
A jury delivered the verdict on May 8, convicting the 36-year-old actor on multiple charges linked to the 2024 attack. Along with attempted murder, Pasqual was also found guilty of first-degree residential burglary with a person present, injuring a partner, and rape-related charges mentioned in court proceedings. Reports state he could face life imprisonment when he is sentenced in June.
The 2024 Stabbing Case
According to prosecutors, Pasqual allegedly broke into Shehorn's home in Shadow Hills, Los Angeles, in May 2024 and stabbed her around 20 times before fleeing the scene.
At the time of the attack, Shehorn had already secured a restraining order against Pasqual following earlier allegations of abuse, including claims that he assaulted her with a belt and sexually assaulted her earlier that year.
After the stabbing, Pasqual reportedly attempted to flee to Mexico but was later arrested near the United States-Mexico border in Texas and brought back to California.
Allie Shehorn Recounts The Attack
During court proceedings, Shehorn described the terrifying moments leading up to the assault. “I locked the door, and he just started punching holes in that door and broke that open,” she recalled, adding that she ran to the bathroom, believing she could lock herself inside.
Her roommate, Christine White, was the one who found her severely injured after the attack. Speaking to KTLA earlier, White said, “I found her and I had to go into the bedroom where it happened. That wasn't a pretty sight. This is not the kind of thing that should happen to anybody.”

A GoFundMe campaign created after the attack stated that Shehorn was hospitalised in critical condition for more than a week and nearly lost her life.
Lasting Injuries And Calls For Justice
In interviews following the attack, Shehorn revealed she continues to deal with permanent physical damage, including scarring on her neck, partial vision loss and numbness in her hands.
“I just hope that there's justice served. People should know that this shouldn't happen, and he can't get away with it,” she previously told the Daily Mail, adding that she planned to attend every court hearing.
