In a new move of strategic planning, producer Ekta Kapoor announced that the highly anticipated horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla will now move ahead by a week to avoid a clash with the ongoing box office success, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge.
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has shattered several records with its successful run, and the effects are seen on other movie releases. Ranveer Singh's spy thriller is surrounded by continuous hype, even after about two weeks of its theatrical release. To give a clean and uninterrupted window to the movie, Bhooth Bangla's production team decided to postpone the release date from April 10 to April 16.
Ekta Kapoor took to her social media to announce the new release date of Bhooth Bangla. With the paid previews beginning from April 6, Ekta Kapoor shared a post, writing, "After a collective call with our distributors and the exhibitors, we have decided on a new release date for ‘Bhooth Bangla', 16 April, with the first show starting at 9 PM."

Additionally, praising Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge and addressing a theatrical space for both the films to perform, the post read, "‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge' performing exceptionally well is heartening news for our film industry and the exhibitors feel that this shift will allow both films the space, focus and attention they deserve. The ‘Bhooth Bangla' team looks forward to welcoming you in cinemas on April 16, 9 PM onwards."
Bhooth Bangla has already created immense buzz with its family entertainer trailer and latest song releases. The delayed release is a marketing focus to fulfill the audience's preferences. Both movies can have their theatrical space and cater to their audience.

Bhooth Bangla marks the reunion of the iconic comic duo of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after 14 long years. The two collaborated for Khatta Meetha back in 2010. Adding on to the excitement of the comeback, Bhooth Bangla has also brought back the comedy dream team with the return of Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Manoj Joshi. Moreover, Tabu is also set to feature in the horror-comedy. New faces like Wamiqa Gabbi star alongside Akshay Kumar.

With its 15th day at the box office, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has smoothly crossed Rs 1,100 crore as its total India gross collection. Despite weekday drops, Dhurandhar 2 has collected over Rs 1,400 crore.
