After the success of Border 2, actor Sunny Deol has jumped straight into his next big project, Antony. Having wrapped up the Mumbai schedule, the actor has now headed to Goa to begin the next phase of filming, which is expected to focus heavily on large-scale action sequences.
The Goa schedule, expected to span nearly a month, is a crucial part of the film's narrative. Directed by Balaji Ganesh, the project is set to expand in scope during this phase, with several high-intensity scenes lined up along the coastal backdrop.
According to sources, the film follows Sunny Deol as a cop attempting to dismantle a crime syndicate operating in Goa. As the story progresses into this setting, the action and scale are expected to increase significantly.
A source revealed, “This is where the story's scale expands. The movie is about Sunny's cop character trying to bust a crime syndicate in Goa. Naturally, some of the film's biggest action set-pieces are planned here.”
The source further added, “A major fight sequence involves a high-speed pursuit along the coastal roads, followed by intense combat set against the shoreline.”
The team is also planning night shoots featuring explosions and intense stunt work. What makes it even more exciting is that Sunny Deol will be performing a significant portion of these action sequences himself.
Sharing more details, the source said, “The unit is also planning a night shoot featuring explosions and heavy-duty stunts, with Sunny sir performing a large part of the action himself.”
The film also stars Jyotika in a key role, while Vijay Varma will be seen as the antagonist.
Antony marks Sunny Deol's first collaboration with producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, along with filmmaker A. R. Murugadoss. The director Balaji has earlier worked as an assistant on several of Murugadoss's films. The project was initially shot in Mumbai, with a projected theatrical release set for early 2027.
Sunnil Deol has a packed lineup ahead, with Gabru releasing on May 8, 2026, followed by Ikka in June and Soorya expected around June–July. He will also be seen in Lahore 1947 on August 13, 2026, and Ramayana during Diwali later this year.
With momentum on his side after Border 2 and an action-packed Goa schedule underway, Sunny Deol seems set to deliver another high-energy performance.
