Actor R. Madhavan has publicly criticised a healthcare brand for allegedly using a clip from one of his interviews without permission to promote its product. Calling the act “shameful”, the actor revealed that he has already sent a legal notice to the company and warned fans against falling for what he described as a misleading advertisement.
Madhavan shared his reaction through an Instagram post, where he accused the organisation of using his interview footage in a way that falsely suggested he was endorsing their treatment or product.
“What a shame. How do these people and organisations think they can get away with this? You cannot take a clip of somebody's interview and make it part of your endorsement. Legal notice sent. Please ‼️BEWARE‼️ of these kinds of professionals and organisations,” he wrote.
“This REEL is making it sound like I'm endorsing their product. They have just taken a clip from an interview without any permissions and used it as an endorsement from my end. How are the public ever going to believe these people or their treatment? !!!! Shame,” he added.
The promotional reel, which has now reportedly been deleted from the brand's social media account, featured a portion of Madhavan's interview alongside a man claiming to be a doctor. The video reportedly discussed the actor's physical transformation while promoting the healthcare company's services.

Madhavan's strong response quickly drew attention online, with several social media users supporting the actor for taking legal action against misleading promotions and unauthorised use of celebrity content.
The actor enjoys a strong reputation among audiences for his straightforward public image and selective choice of projects across Hindi and South Indian cinema.
On the professional front, Madhavan has continued to remain active across multiple projects. The actor was recently seen in films including Kesari 2, De De Pyaar De 2 and Dhurandhar. In 2026, he returned as Ajay Sanyal in Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, which went on to become a major commercial success.
