German techno DJ Stella Bossi's much anticipated performance in Mumbai was halted midway on Friday night after Maharashtra State Excise officials intervened over missing permissions for the event, NDTV reported.
Bossi was performing at the antiSOCIAL club in Lower Parel when the show was stopped approximately 50 minutes into her set. The DJ later shared a video of the incident on Instagram and wrote, "Police found the off button."

The intervention was carried out by officials from the Maharashtra State Excise Department. NDTV reported that the officials stopped the event because the organisers had failed to secure the required legal permissions for the gig.
The event reportedly did not have the necessary excise and public performance licence. The absence of the required documentation ultimately led authorities to halt the techno event. The sudden shutdown left fans, who had gathered for Bossi's performance, disappointed.
Following the incident, Bossi took to social media to address the abrupt cancellation and expressed her disappointment with what happened at her Mumbai show. She also shared footage of the disruption with her followers, NDTV reported.
The incident also put the event organisers under scrutiny over whether all mandatory permissions had been obtained before the show was held.
The incident comes as another instance of highlighting the importance of securing the necessary regulatory permissions and clearances before organising large-scale music and entertainment events.
