'Relieved': PM Modi Reacts To Donald Trump Assassination Attempt

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reacted to an assassination attempt on US President Donald Trump at the Washington Hill on Saturday evening in the US. 

The Prime Minister took to X to express support for his US counterpart while he condemned any violence in a running democracy.

"Relieved to learn that President Trump, the First Lady and Vice President are safe and unharmed following the recent security incident at a Washington DC hotel.

"I extend my best wishes for their continued safety and well-being. Violence has no place in a democracy and must be unequivocally condemned," PM Modi posted on his official X account.

This comes on the back of a dramatic evening in Washington that saw a gunman opening fire outside the Washington Hilton during the White House Correspondents' Dinner, forcing the evacuation of Trump and Vance from the venue.
