Prime Minister Narendra Modi met a delegation of Japanese businesses led by Tatsuo Yasunaga, the representative director of Mitsui & Co., on Wednesday. He said that he is looking forward to deepening economic partnership between India and Japan.
The PM said that he was "inspired" by the delegation's plans for expansion in India and steady dedication to 'Make in India, Make for the World.'.

March 5, 2025PM Modi also promised loans ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 2 crore to first-time women entrepreneurs and those that belong to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. He made the announcement in a post-Budget webinar for medium and small enterprises.
Advertisement"We need to develop new modes for credit delivery, ensuring MSMEs have access to low-cost and timely credit. Five lakh first-time women, SC, and ST entrepreneurs will be provided loans of up to Rs 2 crore," the Prime Minister said.
He further said that the MSMEs need credit and guidance and recommended to industries to set up mentorship programs to support them.
He drew attention to the uncertain political environment and spoke about how the world was looking at India as a "growth centre.".

The government has also reduced regulatory compliance requirements by over 40,000 at the central and state levels, aiming to simplify doing business in India.
