The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Wednesday staged protests outside the NTA's office in New Delhi, demanding a time-bound probe and overhaul of the examination system. Whereas, former Delhi CM and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal urged India's Gen Z to force accountability over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak.

Kejriwal also warned that the CBI investigation would "achieve nothing" and invoked the youth-led political upheavals in Bangladesh and Nepal as a model for Indian students to follow.

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) also demanded a time-bound, impartial probe and a complete overhaul of the examination system.

ABVP National General Secretary Virendra Solanki said the current situation was an assault on the tireless toil of students, adding: "Any compromise with the sanctity and credibility of entrance examinations is completely unacceptable. If the question paper, or any part related to it, reached certain individuals before the examination, it is not merely an attack on the examination system but also an injustice to the future of lakhs of students who work hard throughout the year."

The organisation demanded a complete overhaul of technical security systems and stricter confidentiality protocols to prevent a repeat of the 2024 and 2026 controversies.

Kejriwal, meanwhile, questioned whether the CBI had ever delivered results in previous paper leak cases.

"The CBI has failed to do anything in previous leaks — this probe will also achieve nothing," he said.

Citing a string of paper leak incidents since 2014, he alleged that most had occurred in BJP-ruled states, with the lapses collectively derailing the futures of crores of students.

"If Gen Z in countries like Bangladesh and Nepal could change the government, then Indian youth could also ensure accountability in cases of paper leaks," the former Delhi Chief Minister said.

The Congress-affiliated NSUI also called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and a complete ban on the NTA, with NSUI National President Vinod Jakhar asking: "If paper thieves become doctors, what will happen to the healthcare system of this country?."

Investigators have established that 135 of NEET's 180 questions had been circulating in a handwritten 'guess paper' before the May 3 exam, traced through a multi-state network from a Nashik printing press and sold for up to Rs 30 lakh per copy.

The CBI has registered an FIR and fresh exam dates are yet to be announced.
