Mumbai's lifeline, the local train network, faced significant disruptions on Monday as heavy rains lashed the city. With railway tracks inundated and visibility affected, daily commuters were met with frustrating delays and temporary suspensions of services across routes.

Services On Harbour Line Hit Hard

According to an update earlier on Monday morning from the Central Railway (CR), all services between Wadala Road and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) were temporarily halted. The reason was extensive waterlogging near Masjid railway station following heavy rainfall.

“Up and Down Harbour Line services between Vadala Road and CSMT were temporarily suspended due to waterlogging at Masjid station,” said the Mumbai Division of Central Railway in an X post.
