India's Bharatiya Janata Party secured the majority of seats in the by-elections that were conducted in seven constituencies across six India states.

The country's ruling party secured four seats out of the seven, while Rashtriya Janta Dal won one seat and Shiv Sena-Uddhav secured one. Telangana Rashtra Samithi secured one seat.

Before the polls, that took place on Nov. 3, BJP held three seats, the Congress two while the Shiv Sena and the Rashtriya Janta Dal had one each.
