Vishwanath And Sons Box Office Collection Day 9: Suriya Starrer Makes A Strong Weekend Comeback

Suriya film sees 61.1% growth on Day 9, reaching Rs 93.35 crore in India net collections.

Suriya starrer Vishwanath and Sons continued its box office run with a strong rise in collections on its second Saturday. The film recorded higher earnings than the previous day, with both its Tamil and Telugu versions contributing to the domestic total.

Box Office Collection Day 9

On Day 9, Vishwanath and Sons earned Rs 7.25 crore net in India from 3,007 shows at 41.3% occupancy. According to Sacnilk, its India net collection stands at Rs 93.35 crore and gross at Rs 107.97 crore. Overseas, it added Rs 2 crore, taking the total overseas gross to Rs 52.25 crore and worldwide gross to Rs 160.22 crore.

The Tamil version thus earned Rs 4.10 crore from 1,663 shows with 40% capacity utilisation while the Telugu version fetched Rs 3.15 crore from 1,344 shows with 43% occupancy, according to the report.

Box Office Collection So Far

According to Sacnilk, Vishwanath and Sons began its box office run with Rs 15.35 crore on Day 1 and saw its collection rise to Rs 22.25 crore on Day 2. The film earned Rs 20.55 crore on Day 3, followed by Rs 7.80 crore on Day 4. It then collected Rs 6.35 crore on Day 5, Rs 5.10 crore on Day 6 and Rs 4.20 crore on Day 7, ending its first week at Rs 81.60 crore.

The film earned Rs 4.50 crore on Day 8, registering a 7.1% increase from the previous day. Its Day 9 collection rose further to Rs 7.25 crore, a 61.1% jump from Day 8, taking its India net total to Rs 93.35 crore.
