Riteish Deshmukh's historical drama 'Raja Shivaji' is enjoying its theatrical run in its first week. With a steady hold throughout, the film has now become the fourth-highest-grossing Marathi film ever.
Raja Shivaji - Box Office Collection Day 6
As per early estimates from Sacnilk, the film has collected Rs 1.35 crore from a total of 2,923 shows so far. With the numbers still coming in, the film has now collected a total India net of Rs 45.75 crore. It crossed the Rs 50 crore mark with the India gross collections currently valued at Rs 54.28 crore.

Language-Wise Breakdown
- Marathi: The Marathi version collected Rs 0.95 crore in Marathi across 1,008 shows. The occupancy rate currently stands at a decent 22.0%.
- Hindi: The Hindi version garnered Rs 0.40 crore so far from 1,915 shows. However, occupancy as of now is reported to be a low 8.0%.
Occupancy - Day 5
- Marathi (2D): The overall occupancy reported so far is 11.14%. The mornings started with a low 11.14% occupancy rate, followed by the afternoon shows at 29.71%. Evening and night shows are yet to commence.
- Hindi (2D): The Hindi version recorded a low overall occupancy of 4.23% on Day 6 so far. Morning shows saw 4.23%, while afternoon shows improved slightly to 9.62%.
Region-Wise Breakdown
- Marathi (2D): Nagpur led with 17.0% occupancy from 37 shows, followed by Pune at 16.0% from 209 shows. Nashik and Kolhapur, with 30 and 18 shows so far, have recorded 13.0% and 14.0% occupancy rates. However, Aurangabad and Sangli have reported single-digit occupancies from limited shows.
- Hindi (2D): Ahmedabad leads in screens with 172 shows but at 2% occupancy, followed by NCR with 154 shows (5%) and Mumbai with 93 shows (4%). Pune recorded the highest occupancy at 19% across 41 shows, while most other cities are seeing low figures.
Box Office Performance So Far
The film had a solid opening of Rs 11.35 crore, out of which the Marathi version alone collected Rs 8.00 crore. The opening weekend also started strong, with the first Saturday bringing in Rs 10.55 crore and Sunday collecting Rs 12.00 crore.
However, following the usual weekday dip, the film collected Rs 5.60 crore on Monday and Rs 4.90 crore on Tuesday. The film is holding steady despite facing competition from other May releases. The primary driving force of the film lies in its original market, the Marathi version.

Playing the titular role of Raja Shivaji, Riteish Deshmukh also serves as the director of the film. It is jointly produced by Genelia Deshmukh and Jyoti Deshpande under the banners of Mumbai Film Company and Jio Studios.
The ensemble cast includes Vidya Balan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan, Genelia Deshmukh, Boman Irani and others.
