When Is GTA 6 Launch Date? Here Is A Rock-Solid Hint

The gaming world is wild with speculation about the GTA 6 launch date. Is it happening this year? Is it happening in 2026? Is Rockstar parent company Take-Two going to delay the launch even though some 12 years have passed since the launch of its predecessor, GTA 5? It listed all the expected dates of its upcoming games, including Borderlands 4. In fact, there was a lot of confusion about Borderlands 4 as no detail had been revealed about its launch except to say it would be in 2025. But just weeks ago, it was officially announced Borderlands 4 launch date would be September 23, 2025.

Confusingly, even though in the Take-Two earnings report, Borderlands 4 got just the year of launch (2025), GTA 6 launch date reveal was much more in-depth.

Take-Two provided in writing that GTA 6 launch date would be in "The Fall" of 2025. However, while fans of Borderlands have received some good news, GTA 6 community has been left dazed and confused.

Why did Take-two announce one game's release date and not the other, which has been hanging fire for years even though the earnings note indicated GTA 6 would be likely launched first?

Was there a "bad moon rising" around the expected launch period for GTA 6?

In effect, the best thing for fans to do, is to take the Rockstar hint and believe that GTA 6 launch is during the Fall. After all, that is official. And to make things a little easier, know the period you can expect its release: The Fall period extends from September 1 to November 30.

Well, since Borderlands 4 launch is at the end of September, Rockstar is unlikely to launch it anytime near it to avoid sale cannibalisation that would hurt GTA 6. That means it will likely keep 3-4 weeks' gap. In effect, that brings us closer to late October and November period.
