Quantum cybersecurity company QNu Labs has announced the successful completion of its Series A funding round. The startup has raised Rs 60 crore, with the round led by the National Quantum Mission.
The round also saw participation from investors such as Lucky Investment, Speciale Invest, Tenacity Ventures, and Singularity AMC.
QNu Labs said the fresh infusion of capital will be used to scale its commercial operations, expand its R&D footprint, and deepen global partnerships in quantum-safe communications. The funding will also fuel its rollout of a quantum security-as-a-service platform QShield, unveiled recently on World Quantum Day.
"We are thrilled to have the National Quantum Mission under the Government Department of Science and Technology as our lead investor in this round," said Sunil Gupta, chief executive officer of QNu Labs. "This is a strong validation of our vision to make quantum-safe security the foundation of the digital world."
QNu Labs offers quantum-safe solutions powered by Quantum Key Distribution, Quantum Random Number Generation products and Post Quantum Cryptography. These are deployed across defence, critical infrastructure, finance, telecom and healthcare sectors.
QNu Labs is one of the few startups globally — and the first from India — to offer commercially ready, hardware-based quantum-safe solutions. Their growing IP portfolio and engineering depth enable them to safeguard sensitive data from both classical and future quantum attacks.
"QNu Labs represents deep tech at its purest — solving complex, global problems with first-principle thinking and long-term conviction. This round marks a defining milestone — not just for QNu, but for India's emergence as a serious contender in quantum technologies globally," said Vishesh Rajaram, managing partner of Speciale Invest.
The National Quantum Mission's funding in this round also signals the government's intent to nurture homegrown quantum companies and establish India as a global hub for quantum innovation.
"Quantum cybersecurity is not just a trend — it's a necessity for the digital age. QNu's tech is ahead of the curve, and their team is building something truly foundational. We're proud to support this journey," said Ashish Kacholia, founder of Lucky Investment.
