One of the major highlights of the game was Virat Kohli's 51st ODI century. With this, India became the first team from Group A to qualify for the semi-finals.

India's slot in the semis was confirmed on Monday following New Zealand's victory over Bangladesh, the result also eliminating tournament hosts Pakistan from the event.

New Zealand, who have registered two victories in as many matches, also advanced to the last four stage from Group A.

The Group A match between India and New Zealand will take place on March 2 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The toss will take place at 2:00 p.m. and the first ball will be bowled at 2:30 p.m.

India and New Zealand have faced each other 118 times in ODIs. While India has won 60 games, New Zealand have emerged victorious 50 victories. On seven occasions, the game ended in a draw while one match was tied.
