(Bloomberg) -- The Iowa Democratic Party plans to release “the majority of results” of Monday’s caucuses by 5 p.m. New York time on Tuesday, its chairman told presidential campaigns.
Chairman Troy Price said the party “worked through the night” to check the quality of its results and to collect any data it did not already have in its possession. Staff are on the road across Iowa collecting paper from precinct sites, executive director Kevin Geiken said on a conference call between party officials and presidential campaigns.
But Biden’s campaign pushed back, saying it was worried about the accuracy of the results.
Dana Remus, Biden’s general counsel, pushed Price on the call for more transparency on the process.
“You need to allow enough transparency that other people feel good about it as well,” she said.
