Chaos erupted at Vishnu Nivasam in Tirupati during the distribution of tickets for Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam at Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple on Tirumala Hills, causing a deadly stampede leaving four casualties, according to a PTI report.
Scores of devotees showed up from all over India for the 10-day Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam, which starts on Jan. 10.
Three women and a man died in the stampede, according to a statement from an official.
